The Selecciona2 CocaCola promotion, in partnership with Cinépolis, was a multi-platform system where Cinépolis customers downloaded an application developed by Peanut and could capture CocaCola "Cabezones," 3D models of Mexican soccer players, through an augmented reality feature using their cell phone camera while they were present in any Cinépolis in the country.
Each week a new cabezón was unlocked and users could capture it to play the 3 available games.
Users entered candy tickets that had participating CocaCola products and chose one of the 3 games.
Each game had different rules, free throws, infinite runner, and trivia. Each one offered a number of points that allowed the user to improve their score.
Users competed for weekly prizes and for the final prize, which was a trip to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The promotion had more than 18,000 users throughout the country.
